The project aims to promote non-formal eco-education methods with a particular focus on the acquisition of practical knowledge and the building of informed citizenship on global topics that affect both humans and nature.
The project will enable volunteers to collaborate with local organizations and other institutions to organize various workshops for sewing reusable bags, recycling and composting, meeting with environmental, tourism, and youth organizations, shooting and presenting environmental films, practicing extreme sports, scouting activities, creating garbage art objects, organizing a flash mob in the city.

In the last year,  a ban hasn’t been implemented on giving out free plastic shopping bags at supermarkets in Bulgaria. While recycling is better than throwing things away, it still is best to make something like a t-shirt bag that can be used over and over again.

Plastic shopping bags are typically used less than 30 minutes and only 1 % are recycled.

T-shirt bags are really great because they are lightweight and elastic. They are able to hold lots of heavy items, conforming to the shape of almost anything you try to shove into them.

Проектът има за цел намаляване на прекомерното използване на пластмасови изделия за еднократна употреба в ежедневието като насочи потребителите към алтернативи на пластмасата за еднократна употреба и замяната й със съдове за многократна употреба, както и детайли за компостирането – на теория и на практика.Това е проектопредложение за намаляване използването на пластмасови изделия за еднократна употреба, които са основен отпадък и замърсител на градската среда и природата.

Специфичната дългосрочна цел на проекта е да се допринесе (директно и опосредствено) за изграждането на навици, базирани на принципа Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Repurpose, у младежи и така да се повлияе на промяна в доминиращият консуматорски подход спрямо (не)възобновяемите природни ресурси.
