Officers will provide information and advice to the public to help them reduce waste and save money, for instance, the best way to store groceries to ensure they keep fresh for as long as possible, or how to freeze items such as cheese, milk and yoghurt. Officers will also be giving away free portioning tools to help people　perfect portion sizing of rice and spaghetti and also provide advice on how north London residents can recycle food waste that cannot be avoided.
