Year 2 teachers are combining a literacy lesson with an environmental one. The children will learn about rhyming words and after coming up with a variety of rhyming words, each class will create two verses for a poem titled ‘Insewwi flok narmi’ which means repairing instead of discarding. The poem will then be read to other year groups in the school, that is Kinder 1, Kinder 2 and Year 1 during the European Waste Reduction Week. Hence 3 days were chosen for the implementation of the action.
