Our “G. Carducci” Comprehensive Institute has always been a promoter of ecological campaigns and this year has earned the “Eco-Schools” flag for the fifth time. With our participation in EWWR 2019 we intend to continue the path we have been taking for several years, raising awareness among the small pupils of “Virgilio” Primary School about the urgent need to reduce the amount of waste we produce every day. We can do a lot in our classroom too, for example during the break. We decide to dedicate a day of the week to a snack without plastic, wrapped in cloth napkins or reusable containers, also avoiding the use of paper, in order to reduce as much as possible the waste of resources.
All the year long we regularly carry out separate waste collection and in the autumn our activities will be aimed at developing the following abilities in the students: classifying waste according to the material category; adopt behaviors aimed at reducing waste production; recycle miscellaneous material to get products.
