Students are involved in a partnership programme with The Conservation Volunteers as they are empowered to learn how to grow their own food. We have 7 raised beds, and orchard of 13 apple trees and a hedge of gooseberry, razzberry, and blueberry bushes. This encourages students to lower their carbon footprints as the travel of food from farms across the globe to supermarkets is cut directly, as is the use of unrecyclable single use plastics.
