IT reuse scheme
• WHAT will be done
Description:
As part of the council’s efforts to encourage a Circular Economy we are reusing waste items where possible, to keep them in use and to make them available to people who may need them. Residents of Belfast can now bring unwanted IT such as laptops and tablets to Ormeau Recycling Centre for reuse. Our partner will wipe the devices, refurbish them and we will distribute them to organisations in the city that support vulnerable people. This not only keeps useful items out of the waste stream but it helps members of our society too.
