Christmas Toy Reuse Campaign

Info

WHAT will be done

Description:

Lisburn and Castlereagh are partnering with Habitat for Humanity, Restore, Lisburn for a 3rd year, to help families in Lisburn and Castlereagh get quality, affordable, sustainable toys for their children this Christmas.

Residents can donate their gently used, pre-loved toys that are no longer being played with to Habitat for Humanity through our dedicated drop-off points.

Donated toys will be sorted, displayed and re-sold at low cost in the Christmas Toy Shop at Habitat Restore Lisburn and one-off pop-up toy shops in Carryduff, Maghaberry and Ballyoran.

The toy reuse scheme will be promoted via the Council social media channels during European Week for Waste Reduction and beyond to encourage residents and visitors to shop pre-loved.
