The Msida council has introduced a system with the help of the residents. They report to the council any blocks of apartments that are abusing on the waste system. The mayor, along with the community police, will then visit these blocks and try to speak to as many residents as possible. They will inform them about how the schedule works, and if residents are caught abusing the system, they will be fined. The council will also contact the administrator, when possible, to introduce cameras to monitor their building. This is done two to three times a week.
