Info

WHAT will be done

Description:

As part of the CARE4CLIMATE project, the Ministry of Environment, Climate and Energy, in cooperation with the European Commission Representation in Slovenia and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food, will organise the event Waste in the Kitchen? No, thank you!

The evening will be hosted by the versatile and popular chef Primož Dolničar. The conversation is sure to be spiced up by Primož’s 14-year-old son Gaber, with whom he combines traditional Slovenian recipes and modern cooking techniques in the show Tastes of Two Generations. You will learn various tricks and tips for careful food handling in cooking as well as storage, and above all how to create delicious and balanced meals almost without waste. You may have always wondered: “What can I do with old bread? How can I use the green part of a carrot? Or – why do my pancakes always fail?” Chef Primož Dolničar will answer these and many other questions, so don’t miss the opportunity to ask him yours. The moderator will be Klara Eva Kukovičič.

We will also present the LIFE IP CARE4CLIMATE web app Kitchen diaries of household food waste and the video story Respect Food, Respect the Planet – Waste Less, created by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food, which advocates for the whole food supply chain to work towards less food waste. We’ll be livening up the event with an ECO quiz on food waste, and the right answers will win you practical prizes! We will also see in practice what can be made in every kitchen from surplus food or parts of plants that are usually thrown away.
Entry to the event is free and registration is accepted at the link provided. Places are limited. For more information, please contact info@hisaeu.si.

V sklopu večera bomo gostili vsestranskega in priljubljenega kuharja Primoža Dolničarja. Pogovor bo zagotovo začinil Primožev štirinajstletni sin Gaber, s katerim v oddaji Okusi dveh generacij združujeta tradicionalne slovenske recepte in sodobne tehnike kuhanja.
