In an effort for the reduction of food waste, a collaboration has been established with specific local businesses in Chania and the Splatzia Soup Kitchens to facilitate the distribution of excess food that cannot be consumed within a 24-hour period, provided at no cost to citizens.  Furthermore, an opportunity will be made available for the purchase of food items at reduced prices, thereby enhancing access to high-quality products for all individuals. Citizens are encouraged to visit the participating businesses and the Splatzia Soup Kitchens to engage in this initiative and to take advantage of the benefits.
