Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council have partnered with European Recycling Platform (ERP) to run a rechargeable batteries competition via Council social media channels on Tuesday 19 November.

The messaging will encourage residents to consider rechargeable batteries as the preferred alternative to single-use batteries.  Residents will also be reminded to recycle any single-use batteries responsibly and never put them in the bin, to prevent fires.
