Students will design an A3 poster centered on the theme of food waste. The winning design will be professionally printed and displayed within the school and local community venues.
Parental Questionnaire:
A survey will be distributed to parents to gather insights and raise awareness about food waste within households.
Storytelling Sessions:
Engaging storytelling sessions will be organized to highlight the importance of reducing food waste, targeted at both students and community members.
Educational Bookmarks:
Bookmarks featuring practical tips on reducing food waste will be created in both Maltese and English. These will be distributed to the Ghasri community and the school community.
Promotional Signage for Bins:
Catchy titles and phrases will be printed and installed next to school waste bins to encourage responsible food disposal and waste reduction.
Utilization of School-Grown Produce:
Oranges and lemons harvested from the school’s garden will be used for various purposes, such as making orange juice, sweets, treats, lemon jams, and for science experiments, ensuring no produce goes to waste.
Food Waste Education:
Curriculum-integrated lessons on the impact of food waste and strategies for reduction will be conducted to reinforce the campaign’s message.
Interactive Activities:
A series of hands-on activities related to food waste will be organized, fostering engagement and practical learning among students.
Bin Monitoring Initiative:
A one-week observational study of the school’s waste bins will be carried out to assess current waste habits and measure the effectiveness of the campaign’s efforts.
We will be collaborating with The Ghasri Local Council
