Meeting Dr Metsola

Dr. Roberta Metsola visited our school and was given a presentation of our Stop Food Waste Project. After the presentation, she discussed food waste practices and processes which can be undertaken at school and home. Students took turns in asking key questions about the topic. Following this, Dr Metsola tasted a meal from our canteen take-over action plan and enjoyed discussing the process with students. Finally she visited our composting site, highlighting the fact that she has one too and wishing us luck for our endeavors.

Wasteserv information meeting

Ms Maria Farrugia from Wasteserv will be visiting our school and convey the journey of waste to our students.

Restaurateurs, Chefs and Supermarket Managers

Students will be interviewing restaurateurs, chefs and supermarket managers about their principles and processes in combatting food waste and promoting sustainability. The data collected will be analysed, interpreted in class and presented to the wider community. This task will introduce students to research methods and skills such as triangulation and interpretation of data collected.
