On Wednesday, November 20, 2024, “Zero Waste Kitchen Workshop” will be held at the Environmental Training and Innovation Center. Mehmet Zeki Balcı Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School students and citizens will take part in the event. Students studying in the food and beverage field will demonstrate how to make seasoning from vegetable scraps produced during meal preparation, which can be used to enhance the flavor of dishes. They will also explain how to reuse food waste to prepare new meals. Our aim is to raise awareness among citizens about the environmental, economic, and social impacts of food waste.
