Malta International Airport hosts numerous stakeholder companies within its premises, each of which generates a significant amount of waste annually. As part of the airport’s efforts to reduce waste going to landfill to a minimum, Malta International Airport has introduced environmental clauses to the contracts of the tenants within the terminal building. These clauses are designed to bind the tenants to proper disposal of waste, ensuring separation of different waste streams. This action is ongoing and has no end date.
