The devastating consequences of climate change, which is one of the biggest threats our planet faces, directly affect our future, that is, the next part of our lives, and accordingly, the right of our children and grandchildren to live in a healthy and safe world. The lifestyle, production and consumption habits of modern people in today’s world have a tremendous impact on the delicate balances in the world. In addition to the basic needs, there is a curiosity towards the better and the new.

With the change of consumption habits and land use habits, energy, water, fuel…etc. such expenditures can be avoided. Thus, the emission of greenhouse gases that cause climate change to the atmosphere will be minimized. We are aware that efforts should be made to ensure that our children live in a healthier world by not purchasing unnecessarily, not wasting and reducing at the source, acquiring reuse habits, supporting recycling and using our lands productively. With this awareness;

On Tuesday, November 23, “Stale Bread Zeroing Workshop” will be held within the municipality social facility. In these workshops, students will bring stale and difficulty consuming breads  from their homes. These foods will be prevented from being wasted with various recipes in which stale breads are evaluated without going to waste.

On Tuesday, November 24, “Stale Vegetables & Fruits Zeroing Workshops” will be held in children clubs within the municipality. In these workshops, students will bring recycable pots, vegetables and fruits about to stale and rot from their home to the club where they trained. These vegetables will use for pickling and fruits will use for making juice…etc. without going to waste.

Under favour of these methods, wasting the foods will be prevented and fuel, energy, raw materials…etc. savings will also be contributed.  Undoubtedly, the best part is that it gives children the habit of preserving food at a young age.

And “All children participating in the workshops will be heroes who save food from being thrown away and zeroing waste with their medallion!”
