Action 1. Clean-up activity.  We will be in touch with the local council to support us to co-ordinate this activity. We will sort out the waste that we shall be gathering from the walk. We will raise awareness about the waste generated with the Rabat Local Community to create awareness about such waste. How can the community reduce waste?

School council and eco skola students would ask questions to the local council member to help raise awareness about the following measures:

Suggestions:

• Making half a flush
• Collect water from air conditioners and dehumidifiers and use it to water plants, top-up aquariums etc.
• Take showers instead of baths
• Use paper and cloth bags
• Buy in bulk

Action 3. Anti-advertising stickers.  We will print anti-ad stickers to send to parents to stick to their letterboxes. This will include a message from the school to reduce waste.

Action 4. Green wall.    Planting herbs and vegetables using the compost produced from the wormery.  The herbs and vegetables will be planted in plastic bottles.  In this manner, we will be disposing of the school leftover scraps from lunches into the wormery and using the worm castings to plant herbs and vegetables.

The green wall will be set in the internal yard of the primary school in order to create a biophilic setting so as to incorporate the natural environment into the built environment.

Action 5. Insect Hotel. Creating an insect hotel out of recycled material such as twigs branches and wood.

Action 6. Musical Instruments. Students will create musical instruments from pringles bottles, bottles which otherwise will be thrown away.

Action 7. A Song will be created and launched during EWWR week to help us spread the word with our students and then with our community.
