• WHAT will be done
Description:
FAO studies stated that one third of all food produced globally is lost or wasted. We all have a role to play in reducing food loss and waste, not just because of the food but because of the resources it takes to produce it, and the greeenhouse gas emissions caused by the production of food wasted.
It is important to make end consumers aware of the actions they can carry out to change the consumption patterns, thus helping to reduce the production of food waste.
AWARENESS activities:
In this context, the action consists of raising awareness among the employees of the Stellantis group on:
- Stop food waste general info and zero waste lunch. Compost.
- Buying and planning purchases. Join the new foodie movement: “Ugly foods”
- Storing, cooking and eating. Use-by / Best-before dates.
- Apps to reduce food waste.
- Recipes. Do you practice “Trash cooking”?
Explicative video/presentation about these themes will be reproduced on internal televisions and specific information will be published in the internal newsletter.
CONTEST:
Trash cooking is a foodie trend that uses leftovers to create delicious new dishes. The contest consists of sharing best trash cooking recipes. The three best recipes will be published in the internal newspaper and their authors will have the chance to visit our new photovoltaic plant.
SECOND LIFE FOR CLOTHES:
Stellantis Zaragoza collaborates with the collection of clothes (aRopa2) and caps (SEUR). In this part, Stellantis Zaragoza group wants to continue collaborating with aRopa2 to reduce the textile waste and with SEUR to facilitate the segregation of caps.
CIRCULAR ECONOMY & RENEWALS. ELECTRIC BILL.
The circular economy implies leaving the consumption of finite resources and eliminating waste from the design. The current migration to renewal electricity has a positive impact on circular economy. anyway, electricity providers have to adopt a higher circular mindset to take advantage of the retired equipment waste and energy lost in generating electricity.
