CYCLOS will establish, organize Container Management System for Plan Protection Products in Greece. Following strict European and National regulations, and supported from National and European Association , we propose:

An awareness event with special topic on the “Present and Future in Recycling and Waste Management of Plant Protection Packaging/Products”, which will take place on Friday, 24^th of November 2023 in Athens – Greece, as part of proposed actions for European Waste Reduction Week.

This action aims to bring together stakeholders, decision makers, representatives from Ministries of Rural Development & Environment, from industries in the context of Extended Producer Responsibility (ERP), National Associations and professionals involved in recycling and plant protection packaging, in order to establish a dedicated Container Management System (CMS) in Greece.

Since in Greece, there isn’t a dedicated recycling stream on Plan Protection Products, and National Container Management System (CMS) still pending authorization from the authorities, there’ll be presentation on good practices from pilot actions in Greece, and case studies from European Countries.

Following proposal, we’ve included dedicated discussing panel with representatives from Hellenic Recycling Agency (HRA), Hellenic Recovery Recycling Corporation (HERRCO) Waste Recycling System, and from Ministry of Environment regarding policy and European/ National Recycling targets.

Also, we’ll have an guest speaker, representing European Crop Protection Agency, specialize on demand on Extended Producer Responsibility (ERP) and Container Management System (CMS) in Europe, which will present European policy and well-established practices all over Europe.

All above will also be promoted by national press, and all involved and supporting a dedicated Container Management System (CMS) in Greece.
