During the European Week of Waste reduction, a number of activities will be held at Zurrieq Primary with the aim of raising awareness and increase communication regarding waste education within our school community. When empowering our children by giving them knowledge and information, we also create a ripple effect which then also reaches the local community.
• Single Use Plastic – In collaboration with our Science Peripatetic Teacher, students will learn about different types of plastic, the repercussion of using single use plastic, and inquire about alternatives to S.U.P. Students will also be asked to look closely around the school and take note of things the school needs to change and make suggestions about how to reduce S.U.P in our school community.
