During the European Week of Waste reduction, a number of activities will be held at Zurrieq Primary with the aim of raising awareness and increase communication regarding waste education within our school community. When empowering our children by giving them knowledge and information, we also create a ripple effect which then also reaches the local community.

2. In collaboration with the Local Council – Representatives from the Local Council in charge of Environment and Education will hold talks/focus groups with our students. During these talks, they will go through the work of the local council and statistics of amount of waste collected from our locality. Students will also be encouraged to take responsibility of waste separation at school and at home.
