Bright Friday at London Metropolitan University
• WHAT will be done
North London Waste Authority has provided environmental charity Hubbub with funding to develop a project aiming to engage university students on how to prevent textiles waste by running three sociable clothes swap events and skills workshops, which will link to Black Friday on Friday 24 November. A large scale clothes swap will be run in collaboration with pop-up swap and all day drop-in workshops will be run by Craft Guerrilla. These workshops will be teaching basic sewing skills and repairs as well as hacks to copy high street trends without hitting the black Friday sales. There will also be a stylist at the event offering one-to-one workshops and informal advice to attendees.
