Action 1

Winter challenge – We encourage all our Burgess colleagues to bring in one (or more!) good item they no longer wear or use.

Option 1) The association DAIKO (decluttering service to help people sell clothes, shoes and accessories that they no longer need or use) will try to sell everything and will donate the commission to charity. We will use the proceeds to buy reusable products for the office space, eg. bento lunchboxes for anyone to collect their takeaways!

Option 2) All items can be exchanged with another items

Data pollution challenge – Delete all data pollution

• Empty the deleted items folder.
• Sort the email inbox by SUBJECT or SENDER, be amazed at the old emails that we have and no longer need. Delete them.
• Do the same for the email folders.
• Go back to #1 and empty the deleted items folder again!
• Unsubscribe from all newsletters/mailing lists that we no longer read.
• Sift through the OneDrive files and delete the old ones!

Here are some other tips:

• Use the phone for quick internet searches instead of a laptop, it requires less energy.
• NETFLIX addict? Streaming videos has a huge impact: consider downloading as opposed to streaming multiple times.
• Delete all the photos and videos and screenshots on the phone that we no longer need!
• Delete phone apps we don’t use.
• Try the Ecosia search engine that plants trees
