As we look around our beautiful Island, our Europe, our World, sometimes we see plastic bottles, cans, glass bottles, and other rubbish littering our streets, our parks, our neighbourhoods, our shopping areas which obviously make us very sad about those being so irresponsible.

Hence, our school organised a clean-up day, which was aimed to motivate the outer community, the hundreds of people who happened to be at the market by picking-up the waste littered on that market day. With great responsibility we needed to be a good example to the outer community. We wanted to give our support and show a clear message that we are people who care for the environment.

Thus our students and teachers went off to the market place to pick-up the waste which was left over on our streets where the village market is located. Students also took the opportunity to provide information to the stall vendors about the importance of reducing waste.
