Our action will be based on informing all our Middle School students (10-12 years) about composting and vermicomposting and its benefits, both as a means of waste reduction, as well as using existing ‘waste’ for nature’s benefit. Moreover, one or more Compost bins will be provided for students to bring over the organic waste from home, or else, organic waste produced at school. We also intend to urge the Cafeteria operators, our Facility Managers, parents and staff to take part in this initiative. Our idea is that composting will become a regular activity at St. Martin’s College. The compost produced will be used on the school grounds themselves.
