We will use our eventcontainer in the middle of the Town square in Gävle.Every day will have a special focus on the 3 different words: Recycle, Reuse and Reduce.
The container will be a meeting Point for the Citizens and divided in Three different zones. One zone will be the meeting/talking area with sitting furniture and a table. We have borrowed all furniture from one local second-hand-shop. This area is for conversations and discussions on the Three Words recycle, reuse and reduce but also on how to make sustainable choices. The next zone will be a creative zone in which it will be possible to make your own presentboxes out of reused material such as wallpaper etc.specially when Christamas is nearby. In the third zone we will have a special funiture that the visitors can open different boxes and learn what will happen to different kind of recycled materials.
Every day we have a special hour where we have invited different speakers to present what and how they work with one of the Words; recycling, reusing and reducing.

The first day we will have students from a Secondary school that will present clothes designed from only recycled plastic, so this is a Visual presentation but they will part of the conversation and discussion that takes Place in the container too.

Day two we have a nonprofit organisation (Matakuten – Food Rescue) that collects food that should have been wasted from the food stores and then they give it away to people that does not have so much.On this day the visitors can taste Products that are out of date just to make everyone aware of that food that uses best-Before-date is not Always bad and that you should use your senses to decide.

On the third day we have invited a local business (a coffecompany) that works a lot with becoming more sustainable. They will talk about how they have worked to become more sustainble and give hand-on advice what is easy to do in becoming more sustainable. Every visitor that brings their own coffemug will be served coffee this day. Just to emphisize how you as a person can make small Changes that reduces the disposable packages.

For the three days we will have two eventstaff working between the hours of 11.00-17.00 in the container.
