The Department of Environment organizes CY GPP AWARDS 2018 in cooperation with the Cyprus Energy Agency.

The Green Public Procurement Awards of Cyprus, “CY GPP Awards”, is an initiative that started in 2014 and appears to have a strong response from Contracting Authorities and Contracting Entities (State Authorities – Public Sector), Public Law Organizations and Local Authorities. Since 2017 private sector bodies can also participate in CY GPP AWARDS.
The categories of “CY GPP Awards 2018” are:

• General GPP policy/Green Supplies
• Office IT equipment and household electric appliances
• Inside Lighting
• Street lighting (only for public sector)
• Vehicles
• Tires
• Air Conditioners
• Buildings/Energy Performance of Buildings
• Renewable Energy Sources
• Cleaning Products and Services
• Copying /Graphic Paper
• Food and Catering Services
• Gardening Products and Services (Green Areas Management)

The award ceremony will take place in Nicosia on 23rd of November 2018.
