DA.360 TEXTILE & CLOTHING NETWORK
National Network to Reduce Textile Waste

The DA.360 TEXTILE & CLOTHING NETWORK initiative and program is the first digital platform dedicated to the circular model and reducing textile waste in Portugal.

Launched in 2021, it already has more than 70 partners and has already achieved the following results and environmental impacts:

– Over 22 thousand pieces of clothing recovered
– Over 7 thousand tons of textile waste avoided
– Over 180 tons of CO2 emissions avoided
– Over 7 thousand beneficiaries supported
– Over 3 thousand families supported
– Over 70 thousand Euros were generated with the circular economy model.
– Over 54 million liters of water prevented from being wasted

This initiative has a national network of points – the DA.360 TEXTILE SPOTS – and from November onwards the new protocol begins with the Parliament of the Assembly of the Portuguese Republic, which also joins this program, passing on an important message of struggle against waste for the community.

With the claim “Innovation in Action. The new path to Sustainability”, DARiACORDAR’s action and strategy focuses on:

– Reuse, Recover, Reduce, Renew, Redistribute – in one of the world’s main industries with one of the largest eco-friendly footprints;

– Transform Business Models – with awareness and consulting programs for companies;

– Awareness – with national campaigns aimed at consumers and families, raising awareness of the importance of adopting new consumption habits;

– Innovation and Research – through the establishment of partnerships with Universities, Entrepreneurs, Companies, and Cities to identify new opportunities and areas of innovation to combat waste

– Data Analytics and Monitoring – providing real-time data intelligence with the DA.360 application, available at https://360.dariacordar.org/.
