The pilot project “Dar Valor é Dar Vida” consists in door-to-door collection of bio-waste in 50 houses in the through the Municipality of Oliveira do Bairro.

To this end, the municipality provided a brown container of 40 litters for the deposition of bio-waste outside the houses and a container of 10 litters for the deposition of bio-waste inside the houses.

This project started in July 2021 and more than 16 tons of bio-waste have already been collected to produced more than 5 tons of high quality naturally fertilizer to use in agriculture. This project seeks to reduce the amount of waste to be disposed of in landfills.
