WHAT will be done

Description:

The action is part of the European prevention week between November 21 and 29, 2020. It concerns the most important priority within the hierarchy in waste management, which is the prevention of waste.

This action aims at:

1.-Encouraging the non-generation of so-called food waste.

2.- The non-generation of disposable bags, generally plastic, for the transfer of food to the home.

In order to dignify people who due to the economic situation do not have enough income and have to ask for help to eat, these shopping carts will be delivered to them with the legend … THE BEST WASTE IS THE ONE THAT I DO NOT GENERAte / HONDAKINIK ONENA SORTZEN EZ DENA and will reach about 350 families in the aforementioned areas of Navarre.

Between both entities and both supermarkets (Voreal and Capacico from Villa Javier, 350 families in Navarra will be reached. Through this system of points awarded by social services, the delivery of the food basket is organized according to their own needs

The distribution will be carried out by personnel from the grassroots social services in collaboration with local entities.

The entities with which the Navarra waste consortium and its prevention office will work are the Food Bank and the social services of the following entities:
