Daniel & Ylenia, 89.7 Bay’s Breakfast Show presenters and arguably the most popular radio presenters on the island, as well as being opinion leaders, will give out hundreds reusable grocery bags to shoppers at Ta Qali farmers’ market on a Saturday morning to encourage shoppers not to pick up the free, disposable plastic bags.

This activity will be videoed and will be made to go viral on 89.7 Bay’s various social platforms in which it has over 1 million fans.

The ultimate purpose is to make people aware of the harm of these plastic bags which are used prolifically and that it is possible to change their ways with minimal effort, to reduce waste.
