Education session- Barnet
• WHAT will be done
Description:
NLWA is working with environmental education charity, ecoACTIVE, to deliver an intensive educational programme of waste prevention and recycling sessions in two schools in each north London borough. The project runs over the autumn and spring terms, covering topics of food waste reduction, textiles reuse/recycling and waste electrical and electronic equipment reuse/recycling. Schools chose from a range of session types, which include waste audits, school ‘swishing’ (or clothes swapping) events, assemblies or parent coffee mornings. Evaluation of the project is carried out using a quiz, given to pupils before, and again, after the sessions and a staff questionnaire.
