In this context, the Department of the Environment, invites all companies (coffee shops, café-restaurants etc.) which offer drinks in a disposable plastic cups, to apply new methods to reduce the consumption of disposable plastic, the beginning from week 16/11/2019 to 24/11/2019.
The Department of the Environment suggests that customers are encouraged to buy reusable cups or bring their own with them to place their beverage at the convenience store, giving them the incentive to take their beverage at a discount.
Secondly suggests that the companies sell beverages in reusable cups, which will be asked to be returned. When the customers return the cup, they can take the next drink at a reduced price. The company will take care of washing the cups for use again.
