The Municipality of Belluno wants to promote the use of biodegradable and compostable nappies that can therefore be collected and treated in wet waste facilities. This practice helps reduce the production of non-recyclable dry waste and allows energy and compost production instead, with a substantial benefit for the ecosystem. To this end, the Municipality of Belluno will experiment the action described, starting from November 2018 and in agreement with its waste collection company “Bellunum”, by providing the compostable nappies to the users of the “Piccolo Girasole” municipal nursery school with no charge.

L’Amministrazione comunale vuole promuovere l’utilizzo di pannolini biodegradabili e compostabili che possano essere raccolti e trattati nel rifiuto umido con un consistente beneficio per l’ecosistema dovuto alla minore produzione di rifiuto secco non riciclabile.
A questo scopo l’Amministrazione sperimenterà l’azione descritta, a partire dal mese di novembre 2018 d’intesa con la propria società di raccolta rifiuti”Bellunum”, fornendo gratuitamente i pannolini compostabili agli utenti del nido comunale “Piccolo Girasole”.
