PAGÇEV recognizes the contribution of growing congestion in cities to global warming and air pollution. We recommend the use of bicycles as a healthy and environmentally-friendly mode of transport, and support all activities that are designed to encourage cycling. We cooperate with municipalities and sports clubs to organize touring events attended by over 500 cyclists. Cycling is a key component of reducing carbon emissions and conserving natural resources. We sponsor events and give out prizes in sweepstakes to improve awareness. Prizes are cycling gear like bicycles, helmets and air pumps to encourage cycling. We invite all cyclists to be ambassadors for their activity, and also for instilling an awareness of recycling and segregation at source.
