Info

WHAT will be done

Description:

24/11/2020 An online Assembly will be held by students in Year 4.1, and all classes will follow it.

During the week, each class will participate in an activity.

Our Kinder students will make something out of recycled material, and sing a song.

Year 1 will bring boxes and things which they usually throw away in the recycle bag. After participation in an online game about waste sorting and recycling, they will discuss that they can create things from the materials they brought with them. Each child will make a robot.

Year 2 students will participate in two storytelling sessions: How to help the Earth by the Lorax and Don’t Throw That Away! After each story there will be a discussion and children will be asked to draw what they want to do with something they usually throw away, or else say what struck them most from the story and draw it.

Year 3 students and Year 4.2 students will seperately participate in a crafts lesson, where they make something out of the waste they usually throw in the recycling bin.

Year 5 students will watch a video and then create posters, which will be posted on our school’s Facebook page for all children, parents and the community to see and learn from.

Year 6 students will participate in a discussion about this year’s theme and then individually write their creative writing on the topic.
