To promote European Week for Waste Reduction, Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council will issue a press release promoting the important reuse and recycling services offered by local charity shop retailers in the council area. Residents will be encouraged to consider donating items rather than disposing of them in the landfill bin. The photo will be taken at the Lisburn Branch of Habitat for Humanity, who help to divert furniture and other waste from landfill and give local residents the opportunity to buy good quality upcycled furniture at an economical cost.
