Facilitating the development of the Repair Café Antrim and Newtownabbey

Info

WHAT will be done

Description:

Facilitating the development of an independent volunteer-led Repair Café to operate within the borough.

The development has been ongoing since May 2019, with initial research and consultation with Repair Café Belfast to see how they developed their group and then gathering and supporting the volunteers as the new group developed for the Antrim and Newtownabbey borough area.

With Council support and the drive and enthusiasm of the initial volunteers, the group is transitioning to an independent and self-sustaining group.

The official launch of the new Repair Cafe scheduled for at Sixmile Leisure Centre, Ballynure Road, Ballyclare, BT39 9YU from 10am to 1pm on Saturday 16 November (the first day of EWWR 2019).

Search @RepairCafeAN to view their social media profile and/or email RepairCafeAN@ gmail.com to find out more or volunteer.
