This large scale dive clean-up involved 4 days of diving, collecting 4.4 tonnes of waste and using old sections of fish farm net to lift large amounts of debris from the seabed. The divers loaded items in very zero visibility onto the nets which were laid on the seabed, the nets were then closed on the Saturday and using a large crane we lifted the nets from the seabed with all the items within. We also used the crane to lift large amounts of tyres out at one go, collecting over 180 tyres, over half the weight collected. The clean-up continued during the rain and sun, involving 32 volunteers on land and sea.
