In our project, we aim to make our students sensitive to the environment and nature by addressing the issues of environmental pollution, recycling and saving. With the videos we watch, the stories we listen to, and the visuals, we realize the awareness that many wastes thrown into the trash are not garbage and which materials can be recycled. Our students not only contribute to recycling but also gain awareness of protecting our nature by throwing wastes such as paper, plastic, glass and metal, which they bring from home, into the recycling bins at our school. For every material thrown into the recycling bins, our symbolic tree on our school wall turns green and we hope that our nature will be greener and cleaner. At the end of the term, we will celebrate our efforts in the process together with ‘Eco-Friendly’ certificates by counting the green leaves on our tree.
