In order to create Invisible Waste awareness in Buca District, awareness visuals were prepared. Awareness images will be published in 4 different categories on invisible waste, which is the thematic focus. Milk wastes in food production, jeans wastes in textiles, mobile phone wastes in electrical and electronics, and invisible wastes generated during the paper production process in stationery were handled.
After highlighting the theme of invisible waste, Is it the Request? Is it needed? The awareness visual that asks the question and aims people to question their consumption will be shared. Because an individual who has a simple shopping culture can use approximately 500 disposable bags per year and it is not only the disposable bags that emerge at the end of each consumption. For this reason, it will be emphasized that it is the most important step for people to reduce consumption apart from their basic needs and thus prevent waste generation at its source.
Afterwards, an awareness visual titled Exceeding Limits will be published to emphasize that we do not have a sustainable world and that we are rapidly consuming natural resources. Because we humans consume much more than the speed at which natural resources can renew themselves. It will be emphasized that we should consume more than our share and that the waste generated in each of our consumption is a huge blow to the sustainability of our environment.
In addition, we cannot ignore the fact that digitalization has turned to us as waste with the recently developing and changing technology. So What is a Digital Footprint? How can we reduce it? Awareness visuals will be shared under the title. All the awareness visuals prepared will be shared from all social media accounts of Buca Municipality and on the heavily used streets of the district.
