The Municiplity of Prato, developed 10 Smart Bins, funded by the ENI CBC programme to collect waste materials, such as textile products, to re-work it and create new objects in a creative and circular vision. During the EWWR the citizens will donate their clothes, accessories, textile waste, etc. to recycle them thanks to these bins, which are throughout the city. The bins work with an “intelligent” system of sensor and scales, which indicates how much waste is collected.
