INTRODUCTION TO RAG RUGGING & RAG RUG CREATION

Info

WHAT will be done

Description:

This is a 2 part workshop with the first class being an introduction, for those with little or no previous experience. The second part follows on from the first class, and during the second class we will focus on making an individual piece of art.

In the first session Karen will be guiding you through the different techniques and equipment you can use to create rug or wall hanging from scrap materials. You will create a small piece to take home with you and this will prepare you for creating your rug in the next session.

In the second session (26th) you will use the skills developed in the first workshop to create an individual piece. This class is suitable for those who have attended the first class on 19/11/22, or for those who have some previous experience of rag rugging techniques.

The second session you will be designing and creating your rug or wall hanging. Please bring with you an inspirational photo or picture to inspire your artwork.

All materials are provided but if you do have some textiles that you would like to recycle feel free to bring that.
