Children and young people of Alytus city community center together with partners are planning week for waste reduction. From 21st to 23rd of November will be organized workshops for community “I’m sorting and thinking of the future”. In these workshops there will be manufactured different items from used plastic coffee cups and spoons, bootless of mineral water, paper boxes and etc. Community already is collecting materials for these workshops. The main theme of workshops products is Christmas holiday. We will encourage participants to make their own Christmas tree toys, presents, packaging boxes and other nice things for holiday by themselves, using wasted materials, not buying things in markets. On 24th of November all items from workshops will be presented in exhibition in Alytus region waste management center. On 25th of November will be organized lecture – quiz about waste reduction, waste sorting and recycling.
