TiDam-TiDaš- let’s swap and repair in Istria”

About the event:

Green Istria will organize several events from 18.11. until 25.11 in order to promote EWWR week and principles. The idea of this year action is that we travel around Istria and have different events in different location and cities in Istrian County in order to promote EWWR week in all County. The action will be promoted like ONE EVENT and we will print posters and make big EWWR frame for “selfie spot” that will also “travel” on each location.

Event will be divided in 4 parts:

1.UMAG
18.11.2017. City of Umag from 10-14:00
In cooperation with City of Umag and Utility company 6.maj Green Istria will organize public event in the city center with different activities:
1. Second-hand market and toy swap
2. Exhibition of hand-made items from recycled materials made by elementary school pupils- “Eko-malci”
3. Shabby-Chic workshop
4. Selfi spot- with funny frame with EWWR topic theme
5. DJ music and natural juices from local producers &craft beer point with CUP-UP reusable cups with logo of local recycle campaign “Separate all” in cooperation with start up “Cup Up” -all cups can be washed on the spot and used again.

2.PULA
21.11. “HAPPY TOYS SHARING” 21.11. Big toy swap event in cooperation with public institution “Kindergartens of Pula” . We will involve 5 kindergartens (20 groups, cc 400 children) from Pula.
For kindergartens teachers Green Istria will prepare poster and leaflet with information about importance of EWWR principles and re-use tips and tools to prepare children before EWWR week. Each child will bring one or two toys in kindergarten one week before action. Green Istria will collect all toys and give 2 vouchers for each child. On 21.11. in morning hours in big sport venue we will organise toy swap event and all groups will come on this event with their teachers. On the spot we will also have recycling spot -promotion of local recycling campaign and EWWR “selfie spot”.

19.11. Community center Rojc
Eco-art happening in Community center Rojc. In the evening we will organise SWAP EVENT & OPENING OF EXIBITION with DJ music and snacks and drinks. We will also organise 2 workshops on the spot:
GIVE BOX FRIGE- from old fridge we will make give box that will stay in Community center Rojc. On workshop volounteers will paint and decorate old fridge and informe citizens about give box initiatives.
REPAIR CAFFE-in cooperation with local NGO “Cassoni Vecchi” we will organise demonstration of their new REPAIR CAFFE initiative -and on the spot volounteers will repair broken things.

3.LIŽNJAN
22.11. “HAPPY TOY SHARING”
Toy swap event in cooperation with kindergartens from Ližnjan (Ližnjan and Šišan, 2 kindergartens, cc 60 children). For kindergartens teachers Green Istria will prepare poster and leaflet with information about importance of EWWR principles and re-use tips and tools to prepare children before EWWR week. Each child will bring one or two toys in kindergarten one week before action. Green Istria will collect all toys and give 2 vouchers for each child. Swap event will be organized in public space in village Šišan.

4.MEDULIN
23.11. in cooperation with utility company “MedEko” and Municipality of Medulin we will organise a promotion of new “recycling bins” for kintergardens and schools. Bins will be in shape of animals (bear, dolphine and frog). We will organise press conference and have presentation of kids art works from waste.
