In the UK, 70% of all food thrown away comes from our homes. That’s more than 7 million tonnes of food and drink every year, the majority of which could have been eaten, shared and enjoyed.
Doing our bit, no matter how small this might seem, could save a family of four up to £70 a month.
During EWWR, the Council will promote food facts, top tips and recipes through social media platforms.
Our collective effort will help protect the environment and the land on which our delicious food is grown.
