WHAT will be done

Description:

Made at the Mill will showcase how people in a rural community can reduce their climate impact while learning new skills, connecting with each other and their wider community achieving all this within walking distance.  During this event, the whole community is invited to our site to see how we can live more lightly by participating in activities such as:

bread making, wool felting, using recycled tin cans to make art and tea lights, willow weaving bird feeders using willow grown on our site, making sandwich wraps using recycled cotton offcuts, woodturning using recycled wood, using food from our community fridge[food sharing project] to make fruit leather and soup, eco printing using natural materials.

We will also be highlighting our Library of Things with free membership for anyone signing up on the day as well as our our active travel project and bike repair workshop.    While people are visiting the event they will also have an opportunity to visit the community fridge.

People will be able to observe key volunteers delivering activities and also have the opportunity to participate.
