Description:
Nilufer’s EWWR Actions Planned;
> Giving awards to 5 pilot building estates that collect the most organized recyclable waste (20th-27th of Nov),
> Showing school children movies about waste reduction (Wall-E sessions for 5 days, 22nd-26th of Nov),
> Collecting organic waste from market areas with volunteers and turning organic waste into compost at home with bokashi buckets, as well as turning it into compost in the compost unit (24th of Nov),
> Bringing clothes and household goods back into use with the “Dress Up Workshop” (ongoing action),
> Delivering the unread books to more people before they are recycled, with the Book Collection Campaign (ongoing action),
> Obtaining compost from pruning waste (ongoing action),
> In the printing house of the municipality, paper waste is minimized and approximately 1 ton of paper is reused per year. Paper waste is stored regularly by stacking it “without gaining the status of waste paper” and be prepared for reuse. The paper waste is reused in the form of notebooks, cube blocks, brochures, calendars etc.
> Awareness studies, social media campaigns
> The goal of not using printed materials, especially in events such as mass marches and ceremonies on 20-28 November,
