Organization Earth is a Greek Non-profit Civil Society Organization founded in 2010 that promotes Sustainable Development, by offering programs of non-typical education and by facilitating community- based activities, with a focus on vulnerable populations living in urban centers.

Methodology

The pedagogical team of the organization Earth implements the principles of non-formal education (Informal Education). Each program is based on:

– In the Scientific Documentation of agronomists, biologists, environmentalists, sports psychologists, sociologists and educators associated with the “Earth Organization”.

– In Experiential Learning which allows knowledge to emerge spontaneously through the processing of the experiences of the participants themselves, as acting subjects.

Compost games:

The students in Halandri examine the three stages of compost creation, palpate the organic matter and learn how the organic fertilizer is made. The aim is to understand that many of our food remains are a small ecological treasure for soil fertility. Participants observe earthworms, beetles and other microscopic creatures that participate in the natural process of biowave of plant remains.
