A ação passa pela preservação da floresta, através da reciclagem de papel. Papel esse que pode contribuir para combater a fome das populações mais desfavorecidas, como uma doação ao Banco Alimentar.
A partir da visualização do documentário O sal da Terra de Win Wenders e Juliano Salgado na sala de aula, saiu a ideia de contatar o Instituto das Florestas e Conservação da Natureza da Região Autónoma da Madeira. O objetivo foi que os alunos participassem no projeto “Plantar o futuro”, plantando uma árvore da floresta Laurissilva (Património mundial da UNESCO). A ideia foi concretizada com a visita ao Jardim Botânico, onde os alunos ficaram a conhecer as espécies endémicas da sua região.
Uma segunda fase da ação consiste em participar de forma ativa na recolha de papel para reciclar. O Banco Alimentar tem um projeto local que consiste na recolha de papel reciclável. Este papel é enviado para uma empresa de reciclagem. Esta empresa adquire alimentos não perecíveis correspondentes ao valor do papel enviado. Estes alimentos posteriormente são enviados para o armazém de distribuição do Banco Alimentar da Madeira. Os alunos para além de terem parte ativa na recolha de papel, poderão também ficar a conhecer como funciona o trabalho de voluntariado nas instalações do Banco Alimentar.
As visitas ao Jardim Botânico e ao Banco Alimentar serão realizadas no dia 26 de novembro de 2020.
Durante as visitas os alunos farão a gravação de um vídeo com o objetivo de promover a preservação da floresta, alertando para a importância da reciclagem de papel. E que esta mesma reciclagem pode combater a fome da população local desfavorecida.

 

The main goal of the action is the preservation of the forest, throughout the recycling of paper. This paper can contribute to fight the famine on poor people, for example with a donation to the Banco Alimentar.
After watching the documentary in class: O sal da Terra by Win Wenders, we had the idea of contacting the Instituto das Florestas e Conservação da Natureza da Região Autónoma da Madeira.
The goal was that the students participate on the project “Plantar o futuro”, by planting a tree on the Laurissilva forest (World heritage by UNESCO). The idea was accomplished with the visit to the Jardim Botânico, where the students got to know the endemic species of their region.
The second phase of the action involves in collecting paper to recycle. The Banco Alimentar has a local project that is to collect recyclable paper. This paper is sent to a recycling company. This company acquires non-perishable food corresponding to the value of the sent paper. This food is sent to the Banco Alimentar da Madeira distribution warehouse. The students participate in the collecting of the paper and also get to know how is the voluntary work in the facilities of the Banco Alimentar.
The visits to the Jardim Botânico and Banco Alimentar will be on 26th november 2020.
During the visits the students will record a video with the aim of promote the preservation of the forest, warning for the importance of recycling paper and that the recycling can fight the famine of the local people in need.
